Eyewear and Contact Lens Policies
Frame warranty
All spectacle frames are covered under a one-year warranty. The warranty covers replacement up to two times within a one year period, due to breakage or damage that may occur under normal wearing conditions. The warranty will be honored only if the broken/damaged frame is returned to us at the time of re-order. The frame replacement warranty does not cover loss or theft.
Spectacle lens warranty
Warranties for spectacle lenses are available only for lenses that have a scratch-resistant coating, and cover replacement up to two times within a one-year period. Scratch-resistant treatments provide the best protection for your lenses, however any lens can scratch or break. It should also be noted that these treatments make lenses scratch resistant, not scratch proof, and recommended procedures for care and cleaning should be observed.
Under this warranty, lenses replaced will match the original prescription. Eligibility for replacement is dependent upon both spectacle lenses being returned to us at the time of re-order. There is no warranty for lenses that do not have a scratch-resistant coating.
Shipping
If you are unable to pick up your order, we will be happy to ship it to you (shipping charges will apply). We cannot, however, be responsible for any damage or loss that may occur during shipping.

Providing your own frame
We are happy to put lenses in a new optical-quality frame that is not from our office. We are also able to put new lenses in an older frame that you would like to have updated with your current prescription, although the condition of an older frame is critical when determining whether it is suitable for lens replacement. As such, we require that an older frame be brought to us for inspection prior to ordering new lenses for it.
It must be noted that damage to a frame can occur anytime during lens insertion or during adjustment. As such, we cannot be held responsible for any breakage or damage to a frame that may occur in these instances.
Contact Lenses
Contact lens prescriptions require additional evaluation and fitting fees that are not part of your routine eye examination. These fitting fees cover initial and subsequent visits specifically related to the fitting of the contact lenses, and include any disposable trials used during the fitting period.
Once your contact lens prescription is finalized, orders can be placed through the link on our website “Order Contact Lenses”. You will be directed to “Dr. Contact Lens” which will give you access to your prescription and insurance information. This will allow you to place your order using your insurance benefit, and to have your contact lenses shipped directly to you. Please note that you will only be able to order contact lenses once the doctor has finalized your prescription. Contact our office prior to ordering if you have been dispensed trial contact lenses or if you are unsure as to the status of your prescription.
